Outside Covered Seating Area – 26.1.21 Update

Dear members

Last year, all hospitality businesses were asked to apply to Swansea City Council for potential funding to construct an outside covered seating area as part of the Council’s strategy to assist businesses by replacing the reduced internal capacity of bars / restaurants caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

We as a golf club were successful with our application and obtained a grant to construct a covered seating area subject to the approval from Vale Europe and also the structure required planning permission. This all took time and this week work has commenced with the new building on the old bowling green.

The cost of the work has been covered by the successful grant we obtained from Swansea Council.
