Members Update No 23 - Memberships 2021/22
Updated: Jan 27
The Coronavirus pandemic is proving an extremely difficult time for the golf club, especially this latest total lockdown from 19 December 2020. This will be the fourth lockdown that we have experienced which means that no income was generated during these periods. The Board’s primary objective has been to keep the club in business through to April 2021. It has been tough, and some planned work had to be deferred and some difficult financial decisions had to be taken. The Board has decided to retain all membership fees for 2021-22 at the 2020/21 levels, so there will be no membership fee increases. However, if any members are able to pay their membership fees for 2021/22 in February 2021 instead of in March 2021, they will be given the same deal as in 2020/21, that is, an extra £30 will be added to their membership cards. Because the clubhouse is still likely to be in lockdown, any membership fees being paid in February 2021 will need to be made to the golf shop via the telephone. A schedule of the available times and days will be notified to members before the end of January 2021. In recognition to all member’s loyalty to the golf club, the Board has decided that for this year the percentage discount on members cards will be increased from 12.5% to 15% as of 1 April 2021. In addition, each re-joining member will be given a 4-ball voucher for their own use. In addition, the Board has decided that those existing members who have lockers will not be required to pay their locker fees for 2021/22. The Board is grateful to members for their support during these difficult and unprecedented times. Please remain safe Management Board Mond Valley Golf Club
